I have never been so obsessed with the weather! As you may recall, after the construction of the new Apothecary Garden at the Health Centre, our water butt was stolen. We spent several weeks thereafter trying to find a blacksmith who might custom-make some security fittings. In the meantime, we have been ham-strung, unable to finish the garden due to the absence of a water source.Read More

Since the last newsletter, our Spring Working Party has taken place. New additions were made to existing sites which are now planted with, amongst other things, rhubarb, chives, garlic, onions, radish, salad leaves, mint, parsley, rosemary, beans and raspberry canes. Snowdrops, daffodils and lambs: that can only mean one thing for us here at Incredible Edible Hooky – it is time to plant! By the time you read this, some of you will have already seen new, raised beds appearing around the village as we extend the project in this, our second year. Our Spring Working Party day will have been held on the 25th March, with lots of our volunteers out and about at our different sites, drills and shovels in hand.
